Greetings fellow traveller!
Welcome to the Australian School of Sexuality (affectionately known as ASS). We’re a collective of like minded educators and practitioners in the fields of Sexuality, BDSM, esoteric systems and alternate spirituality. For us this is a calling, a vocation, a lifestyle and commitment to walking this path and fighting against those who would stifle our erotic expression and keep this knowledge relegated to the shadows.
We’re also Australians who can’t resist a filthy joke, hence our name.
The Australian School of Sexuality was conceived by Eve X, a sex worker, lifetime practitioner of alternate sexuality and spirituality, a ferociously intelligent academic by nature and a punk at heart. They were joined by their life partner and collaborator Sai Jaiden Lillith, also a sex worker and practitioner of alternate sexuality and spirituality to plant this seed in 2023.
The Australian School of Sexuality is not meant to be a hierarchical village, but rather a gathering of those who walk a similar path. Our aims are:
To provide accessible education on sexuality, BDSM, body work and esoteric knowledge in a container of ethical, community minded and rigorous consent frameworks
To provide spaces for rigorous, lively and compassionate discussion of topics relating to the fields above
To bring together like minded individuals who share our vision and paths
To fight for the free expression of knowledge in the fields that we have outlined above, in the physically embodied and digital realms
To promote a welcoming community which is compassionate, open minded and inclusive
To hold safe spaces for all of the above and for our community
We’ve already begun to assemble the crew, and we’re launching our very first in the series of workshop and discussion focussed events, ASSFest 2023 in Sydney, with a Melbourne festival planned for the first quarter of 2024.
THE MANIFESTO
Every body has a unique relationship to sexuality, our educators included.
As such you’ll find a diverse array of content, presented in a diverse array of formats.
Our spaces are trauma-aware, body+, spicy+, queer+ & anti-racist.
We’re committed to dismantling the societal structures that bind & restrict all of us in many & different ways.
We believe that pleasure is a fundamental human right.
We believe that all bodies are beautiful & deserving of pleasure.
We believe that sexual knowledge is both a means to personal empowerment, & a way to make our world a more pleasurable place to live.
